Job Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is hiring a Financial System Analyst for a 1-year non-reimbursable assignment with the United States Secret Service in Washington, DC. This is a element, not a developmental rotation, and you’ll perform as an incumbent in the role.
This role focuses on analyzing and rolling out financial management system software and enhancements. You’ll keep up financial submission modules and interfaces with other business systems, providing input to the design and development of integrated systems to enhance office functions.
You’ll also monitor systems control, security, and performance, and test system submissions and interfaces to decide their influence on automated systems.
This role is perfect for existing federal employees at the GS-12 or GS-13 level who have background with financial systems and hope to contribute to DHS mission-critical operations. The function field needs onsite presence and a Top Secret security clearance.

Salary & Compensation
Pay / Pay Package: $101,401 - $185,234 per year.
Qualification
To qualify for this GS-12/13 Financial System Analyst position, you must be a present permanent federal employee with supervisory approval to put in. You must have expertise assisting with the analysis and rollout of financial management system software and enhancements.
- Assisting with the analysis and execution of financial management system software and enhancements.
- Keeping up financial application modules and interfaces with other enterprise systems.
- Providing input to the design and development of integrated systems to refine particular office functions.
- Monitoring systems control, security, and performance.
- Testing system submissions and interfaces to work out their effect on automated systems.
- Planning, coordinating, carrying out, and/or keeping up major financial systems.
- Developing systems procedures for daily employ and maintenance of automated systems.
- Reviewing, analyzing, and testing new or revised policies and procedures to decide bearing on automated systems.
- Providing technical assistance about the capabilities and apply of systems software.
Role Responsibilities
- Aid with analysis and rollout of financial system software and enhancements.
- Provide input in developing procedures and guidelines for everyday use and maintenance of financial systems.
- Formulate application proposals that identify precise offerings or functions.
- Participate in testing and evaluating new principles, techniques, and procedures through prototype ways and system models.
- Monitor systems control, security, and performance.
- Operate in a consultative role with officials on financial, property, procurement, and other automated systems.
- Participate in operational projects to encounter system needs.
- Communicate with technical specialists to obtain data and provide technical guidance.
