Qualification
To qualify for the Fleet Maintenance Lead Technician role, you want a High School Diploma or GED and three years of journey-level automotive or diesel mechanic experience.
Certain positions call for ASE certification within six months, a Texas Class C driver's license, and possibly a CDL or EPA refrigerant certification.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on town fleet vehicles and equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic problems.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and offerings.
- Retain correct records of repairs, pieces usage, and labor hours.
- Confirm compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Assist with training and guiding junior mechanics as needed.
- Operate diagnostic equipment and specialized resources.
- Respond to emergency repair requests and road calls.
Conditions & Requirements
- Must have a legitimate Texas Class 'C' Driver's License or equivalent from another state.
