Job Description

The VA Caribbean Healthcare System is hiring a Food Service Worker Supervisor to lead food solution operations at the San Juan VA Medical Center.

In this role, you’ll right away supervise all food offering activities, arrange the work of Food Solution Workers, and create confident meals are ready and delivered safely and on time.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage all domains of food production and solution covering food preparation, nourishment, tray delivery and retrieval.
  • Obtain corrective action for any challenges that arise on the floors about food offering.
  • Receive and inspect deliveries; requisition all supplies needed in all food solution fields.
  • Get ready performance ratings/competencies for all employees under direct supervision.
  • Discuss perform performance and issues with employees; monitor tardiness and attendance; offer guidance and make needed adjustments in assignments.
  • Carry out responsibilities within general instructions, usual procedures, and established policies.
  • Guarantee subordinates wrap up assigned duties; outline operate conditions to gather food offering schedules.
  • Establish priorities for everyday operations in emergency situations; define standards of grade and quantity.
