Qualification

To qualify for the GS-13 grade, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-12, demonstrating supply status communication, alternative sourcing, problem analysis, immediate issue resolution, and budget management. For GS-12, one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-11 is required.

  • GS-13: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-12, including: communicating supply status to reduce material unavailability risk; recommending alternative sources for long lead times; identifying and resolving supply issues immediately; analyzing systemic causes and proposing corrective actions; reviewing scope of work to provide efficient budget requests and managing expenditures.
  • GS-12: One year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-11, including the same five areas as GS-13.
  • Experience can be from paid or unpaid work, including volunteer service through National Service programs.
  • This position does not require education; experience is the primary qualification.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in direct deposit pay program.

Role Responsibilities

Manage, direct, monitor, interpret, and resolve all supply matters to meet PHNSY IMF Detachment Stirling (PDS) availability schedules.

  • Oversee internal and administrative issues among subordinates supporting logistics of material and consumable handling from job planning to execution.
  • Serve as primary contact for PDS supply operations and ensure all supply documentation complies with regulations and command policy.
  • Develop and initiate administrative procedures and controls to ensure supply and material support is accomplished within time and budget constraints.
  • Recommend approved alternative sources of supply when faced with long lead times and identify potential sources for emergency requirements.
  • Perform problem identification, analysis of systemic causes, and propose corrective action recommendations for approval or implementation.
  • Identify and resolve immediate issues and processes affecting PDS supply operations.
  • Plan, develop, and carry out vital supply projects and programs.
