Job Description

The PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF is hiring a General Supply Specialist to handle supply operations for submarine maintenance at the Detachment Stirling in Garden Island, Australia.

In this role, you’ll supervise material assist from job planning through execution, making sure timely availability of supplies to gather availability schedules. You’ll assist as the main contact for all supply documentation, create administrative procedures, and propose alternative sources when faced with lengthy lead times.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $76,463 - $118,204 per year.

Qualification

To qualify for the GS-13 grade, you must have at least one year of specialized know-how equivalent to GS-12, demonstrating supply status communication, alternative sourcing, problem analysis, prompt issue resolution, and budget management. For GS-12, one year of specialized background equivalent to GS-11 is required.

• GS-13: One year of specialized expertise at or equivalent to GS-12, covering: communicating supply status to cut material unavailability risk. Recommending alternative sources for extended lead times; spotting and resolving supply problems immediately; analyzing systemic causes and proposing corrective actions; reviewing scope of work to give streamlined budget requests and managing expenditures.
• GS-12: One year of specialized know-how at or equivalent to GS-11, such as the matching five spheres as GS-13.
• Background can be from paid or unpaid operate, covering volunteer offering through National Solution programs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee, straight, monitor, interpret, and resolve all supply matters to gather PHNSY IMF Detachment Stirling (PDS) availability schedules.
• Manage internal and administrative concerns among subordinates supporting logistics of material and consumable handling from role planning to execution.
• Cater to as leading contact for PDS supply operations and ensure all supply documentation complies with regulations and command policy.
• Build and initiate administrative procedures and controls to guarantee supply and material support is accomplished within time and budget constraints.
• Recommend approved alternative sources of supply when faced with lengthy lead times and spot potential sources for emergency needs.
• Perform challenge identification, analysis of systemic causes, and propose corrective action recommendations for approval or execution.
• Pinpoint and resolve instant matters and procedures affecting PDS supply operations.
