The US Army Yuma Proving Ground, part of the Army Test and Evaluation Command, is hiring a General Supply Specialist (GS-11) for the Ground Combat Systems Directorate Maintenance Division in Yuma, Arizona.
This role is ideal for experienced supply professionals who can independently manage inventory operations, enforce contractor compliance with logistics regulations, and resolve non-standard supply transaction discrepancies.

- Specialized Experience: One year of experience at the GS-09 level that includes: (1) Managing complete inventory operations across multiple warehouse facilities; (2) Enforcing contractor compliance with supply and logistical regulations; and (3) Independently interpreting policies to resolve non-standard supply transaction discrepancies.
- Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a GS position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

Role Responsibilities
Manage complete inventory operations across multiple warehouse facilities, including requisitioning, inspecting, receiving, storing, issuing, and disposing of items.
- Enforce contractor compliance with supply and logistics regulations.
- Interpret and implement supply regulations, analyze and resolve complex supply transaction issues, and develop plans to address conflicting or insufficient data.
- Construct and maintain complex multi-tab Excel spreadsheets using advanced formulas to track, reconcile, and audit warehouse inventory, GFEBS procurement logs, and budget line-item expenditures.
- Verbally brief senior leadership and division chiefs on budget execution status, supply-chain vulnerabilities, and audit readiness, translating technical supply data into clear, actionable decision points.
- Independently monitor expenditures, verify accounting reports, and play a significant role in developing and formulating budget requests, including providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
- Communicate complex information to diverse audiences, prepare accurate reports and correspondence, deliver training, and serve as a liaison to resolve operational issues.
- Manage relationships with customers and contractors, anticipate needs, proactively resolve problems, and motivate individuals toward mutual goals.
- Independently use applications like Word, Excel, and others to create and manage reports, spreadsheets, and professional documents; advanced data analysis and chart creation skills are highly valued.
Conditions & Requirements
Incumbent must obtain and maintain a valid state driver's license.
- Incumbent is required to obtain/maintain a government motor vehicle license.
- Occasional travel away from the normal duty station up to 5% of the time.
- This position is designated Tier 3, Non-Critical Sensitive, Moderate Risk and requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
