The City of San Diego is hiring a Golf Operations Assistant to support daily operations at municipal golf courses. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for golfers, answering questions about course procedures, rules, and regulations.

Role Responsibilities

Conditions & Requirements

Must be able to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while patrolling the course.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Valid driver's license may be required for some positions.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Benefits

General wage increases scheduled: 3.5% effective July 1, 2027; 2% effective July 1, 2028; 2% effective January 1, 2029.
