The City of Mesa is hiring a Housing Landlord Support Specialist to serve as the primary contact for landlords, property owners, and managers participating in the Housing Authority's rental assistance programs.
This grant-funded, at-will position involves visiting landlords to explain their role and responsibilities, enforcing leases, and resolving conflicts between property owners and tenants.
The specialist will implement engagement strategies to increase owner and manager participation in housing choice voucher programs, and educate stakeholders about the benefits and rights of working with Mesa's tenant-based rental assistance programs.

Role Responsibilities
Serve as the primary staff contact for City of Mesa landlords, property owners, and managers in housing and rental assistance programs.
- Assume ownership of all facets of landlord engagement, including visiting landlords to explain their role and responsibilities.
- Resolve conflicts between property owners and tenants.
- Implement engagement strategies to increase the number of owners and managers willing to participate in housing choice voucher programs.
- Educate owners, managers, and landlords about the benefits, rights, and responsibilities of working with Mesa's housing/tenant-based rental assistance programs.
- Provide landlords and property management companies a dedicated point of contact for questions, concerns, and follow-up.
- Advocate for landlord participation and enforce lease agreements.
- Maintain records and documentation of landlord interactions and program outcomes.
Conditions & Requirements
Must be able to work in the United States.
- Grant-funded position; continued employment contingent on grant funding.

- May require travel within Mesa to visit landlords and property sites.
- Valid driver's license and ability to provide own transportation may be required.
- Must pass a background check if required by the City.
Benefits
Competitive salary range $52,848
- $76,473 per year.
