INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN)

To qualify for this GS-12 role, your resume must reveal at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal offering or equivalent in the personal/public sector. This experience must contain hands-on administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux working systems (such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux), rolling out security hardening (e.g., DISA STIGs), resolving involved server concerns, and developing technical documentation.

• At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or settle band in the Federal solution or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
• Extensive knowledge and hands-on expertise in the administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux running systems (such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux).
• Experience implementing system security hardening and compliance measures (e.g., DISA STIGs).
• Know-how resolving complicated server-level problems.
• Background developing technical documentation for system operations.
• Ability in Attention to Detail: making sure rigorous submission of information security/information assurance policies in systems administration solutions.
• Competence in Buyer Service: providing technical advisement on design, integration, troubleshooting, and repair of various technologies.
• Expertise in Oral Communication: handing over training on IT matters related to Linux systems.
• Ability in Issue Solving: resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability issues.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Supply cutting administration and back for servers and systems supporting the Arsenal Mission Package (AMP), such as system configuration, data management, customer training, and troubleshooting.

• Administer and uphold a diverse range of working systems, covering Windows, Linux, virtual environments, and associated hardware.
• Assist requests set on priority, modifying or updating AMP components as needed, and offer pro technical advisement on design, integration, troubleshooting, and repair for AMP and related technologies.
• Actively participate in and/or lead IT projects focused on system upgrades, migrations, and implementations, along with automation of routine duties through scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
• Put in place and keep up security hardening measures within the AMP and Linux environments, adhering to DoN Cybersecurity needs (e.g., DISA STIGs, CNSSI)
• and Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
• Supervise the efficient completion and adherence to periodic Information Assurance (IA) jobs such as password adjusts on network devices.
• Collaborate with AMP system engineers, relevant scheme offices, Fleet operators, and other IT sections to grasp AMP IT conditions and give timely and productive aid.
