The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Intelligence, is hiring an Intelligence Research Specialist for the Northeast Regional Intelligence Center (NE RIC) in Boston, MA.

This is a 1-year non-reimbursable assignment with an option to extend one additional year. The position is open to current, full-time federal employees only and requires a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.

The incumbent performs tactical, operational, and strategic all-source analysis of classified and unclassified reporting on all threats within the NE RIC area of responsibility.

Salary & Compensation

Salary / Pay Package: $91,430 - $161,448 per year.

Qualification

To qualify for the GS-12 or GS-13 grade, your resume must demonstrate experience in all-source intelligence analysis, producing finished intelligence products, and collaborating with partners. There is no educational substitution for this position.

  • Must be a current permanent federal employee.

Role Responsibilities

Conduct all-source analysis of classified and unclassified reporting on all threats in the NE RIC area of responsibility.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external partners to develop finished intelligence products.
  • Ensure intelligence analytical processes comply with CBP legal authorities, policies, and guidelines.
  • Contribute to short- and long-term planning using intelligence processes to support threat prioritization.
  • Identify and evaluate adversarial capabilities, composition, and nature of threats.
  • Assess impact to CBP's mission and assist in formulating courses of action for threat mitigation.
  • Produce finished intelligence products and briefings for CBP and IC stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with regional and national counterparts on counterintelligence matters.
