Qualification

To qualify for the Inventory Management Specialist, PG-2010-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at the PG-11 level or equivalent in the federal service. Specialized experience includes reviewing purchases to track BPAs, receipts, and MROs; managing annual financial audits; conducting weekly inventories of secure credentials and passport materials; and processing documents into an inventory database.

Role Responsibilities

Review purchases to find and track new BPAs, receipts, and MROs.

  • Receive, review, and process all documents into an inventory database.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on transactions for production materials, MROs, waste shipments, etc.
  • Distribute work through the inventory database to Material Handlers and PPW employees.
  • Create barcodes and LPNs for production materials (paper, passport, secure credentials).
  • Schedule secure and non-secure shipments.
  • Facilitate WIP counts and reconciliation.
  • Review and process purchase and invoice requests.
Conditions & Requirements

U.S. Citizenship is required.

  • Must successfully pass pre-employment requirements prior to appointment.
  • May be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
  • Males born after 12/03/59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Must undergo a background investigation for a Secret clearance.
  • Time-in-grade: must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level (PG-11 or equivalent).
  • Work schedule: First shift, 7:00 am
  • 3:30 pm, Monday–Friday (5x8-hour days).
  • Telework is not available; remote work is not authorized.
