The US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), 706th Military Intelligence Group, Installation and Logistics Office at Fort Gordon, Georgia, is hiring an IT Specialist (Network Services).
This GG-13 position serves as a Network Systems Engineer and Primary Communications Security (COMSEC) custodian within the Network Operations Division at the National Security Agency/Central Security Services – Georgia (NSAG).
You will support the design, installation, and maintenance of network/telecommunications systems for a diverse customer set at NSAG and remote sites worldwide.

Role Responsibilities
Serve as a Network Systems Engineer and Primary Communications Security (COMSEC) custodian within the Network Operations Division at NSAG.
- Support design, installation, and maintenance of network/telecommunications systems for NSAG and remote sites worldwide.
- Perform IT/communications planning, analysis, design, development, testing, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, monitoring, and management of network systems for secure information transmission.
- As Primary COMSEC Custodian, receive, transfer, account for, safeguard, and destroy all COMSEC material assigned to the NSAG COMSEC account.
- Assist the NSAG lead COMSEC custodian with oversight of all Regional Capabilities Center Southeast (RCC-SE) daily operations.
- Provide routine sustainment, management, troubleshooting, and monitoring of encryption devices supporting telecommunications circuits or networks.
- Execute deployments, upgrades, management, monitoring, and decommissioning of encryption devices within the area of responsibility.
- Perform sustainment and optimization of LAN/WAN, Data Center Networks, routers, switches, encryption devices, and telecommunication equipment.
Conditions & Requirements
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination based on a completed background investigation.
- Must undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) pre-appointment and periodically.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Perform Temporary Duty (TDY) travel to worldwide locations up to 15% of the time.
- May be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations.
- Shift work may be required.
- This position is in the Excepted Service under DCIPS.
