Salary & Compensation
Salary: $53,649 - $75,494 per year.
Qualification
To qualify for this Grade 1 School Counselor role, you must gather the minimum education requirement of a Bachelor's degree. A sound Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Take on Permit is needed upon recruit.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide academic, profession, and social-emotional counseling to Grade 1 students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to aid student development.
- Create and carry out school counseling programs aligned with state standards.
- Run person and set counseling sessions as needed.
- Assist students with transition to elementary school and ahead of time intervention strategies.
- Keep up confidential student records and comply with lawful and ethical guidelines.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives to promote a positive school climate.
- Give crisis intervention and referral services when essential.
Conditions & Requirements
- Must be capable to obtain and maintain a legitimate Hawaii teaching license or Emergency Take on Permit.
- If hired without a completed Teacher's Education Plan, must enroll in an approved scheme within the first year.
- Must finish Hawaii licensing conditions within 3 years of recruit.
- Must display annual progress toward licensure as determined by HTSB.
