Salary & Compensation
Salary: $56,837 - $66,600 per year.
Qualification
You must have a high school diploma and applicable background. A bachelor's degree in a related field may substitute for the called for expertise. SCDC needs a high school diploma and three years of know-how in correctional or security operate.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage subordinate security personnel assigned to Palmetto Health Richland Hospital.
- Supervise the custody and control of all inmates assigned to the hospital.
- Assume principal responsibility for security of hospital workforce and property.
- Conduct routine verifies of all rooms housing inmates to make sure correct and safe performance of responsibilities.
- Support with all inmate admissions into the hospital.
- Investigate complaints, violations, and arbitrate disputes among inmates, correctional staff, and hospital personnel.
- Report to the hospital captain and carry out general supervision duties.

- Must be fit to wrap up eight weeks of SCDC Fundamental Training.
- Must pass a background inspect and any needed screenings.
- Must be capable to function full-time hours as scheduled.
- Must comply with all SCDC policies and procedures.
- Must be physically capable of performing security tasks.
