Salary & Compensation
Salary: $43,755 - $53,177 per year.
Qualification
You must plainly demonstrate on their wrapped up submission that they meet the minimum qualifications. This is a multi-departmental classification; precise experience working light and weighty equipment is required.
- Expertise running motor graders, skid-steers, bulldozers, backhoes, skip loaders, and dump trucks.
- Aptitude to run specialized equipment such as water pumps, flush trucks, power trenchers, aerial trucks, disc and landscape blades, flail mowers, lawn aerators, post hole diggers, concrete saws, pulvi-mixers, three and seven gang mowers, seeders, and fertilizer spreaders.
- Sound driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to perform semiskilled operate under general supervision.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor in outdoor settings.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in park maintenance or construction is desirable.
- Must be capable to perform full-time schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work motor grader, skid-steer, or bulldozer for leveling and uneven grading in parks.
- Run backhoe for removing concrete and coarse grading.
- Operate skip loaders to load materials into trucks.
- Drive 10-yard dump trucks to transport building and construction materials.
- Work water pumps, flush trucks, power trenchers, and aerial trucks.
- Run disc and landscape blades, flail mowers, lawn aerators, and post hole diggers.
- Work concrete saws, pulvi-mixers, three and seven gang mowers, seeders, and fertilizer spreaders.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Conditions & Requirements
- Legitimate California driver's license and acceptable driving record.
- Capacity to pass a background inspect and drug screening.
- Physical aptitude to lift hefty objects and function in various weather conditions.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Capacity to operate weekends and holidays as needed.
