Maintenance Tech- Public Works is listed by Rock County. Rock County's Department of Public Functions is seeking a proficient Maintenance Tech to deal with various maintenance tasks across county facilities.

You’ll troubleshoot, keep up, and repair equipment and systems covering frank digital controls, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical, plumbing, building offerings, and grounds. This role is best-suited for someone with hands-on know-how in multiple trades who enjoys problem-solving and operating independently.

You’ll be responsible for keeping county buildings secure, functional, and streamlined.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $27.25 - $30.14 per hour.

Qualification

You should have expertise in at least two of the following fields: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance. A high school diploma or equivalent is called for, along with a legitimate driver's license. Additional technical training or certifications are a plus.

  • Willingness to perform occasional overtime or on-call shifts.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, uphold, and repair HVAC systems such as boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and air handlers.
  • Repair electrical and pneumatic controls, sensors, and reduced voltage relays.
  • Perform plumbing repairs on sinks, toilets, faucets, flushometers, and piping.
  • Keep up building grounds covering snow removal, lawn care, and general upkeep.
  • Inspect and uphold fire safety systems and equipment.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform on-call responsibilities as needed.
  • Hold exact records of work performed and portions applied.
  • Aid with secondary construction and renovation projects.
