Qualification

To qualify for the Management Analyst 2 position, you must meet the Commonwealth's minimum experience and training requirements. This typically includes a combination of education and professional experience in management analysis, procurement, or a related field.

  • One year as a Management Analyst 1 (commonwealth title); or.
  • Three years of professional experience in management analysis, program evaluation, or administrative analysis; and a bachelor's degree; or.
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional analytical experience.
  • Experience with procurement, purchasing, or inventory management is preferred.
  • Ability to deliver in-person and virtual training.
  • Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams across the state.
Role Responsibilities

Conduct quality assurance reviews of statewide purchasing and procurement activities to ensure compliance with policy and regulation.

  • Deliver in-person and virtual training on inventory management, procurement, and purchasing programs.
  • Analyze statewide procurement and inventory data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
  • Respond to inquiries about procurement, purchasing, and inventory management and determine appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and update training materials and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to promote proven methods and consistency.
  • Support the implementation of new procurement systems or process changes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
