The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Omaha Field Division, Minneapolis District Office is hiring a Mission Support Specialist. In this role, you will exercise independent judgment and discretion in preparing and processing confidential employee matters.

You will also maintain and coordinate the administrative support program, ensuring effective communication and follow-up with other divisions. Your typical work assignments include gathering data, establishing electronic files and databases, composing correspondence, and assisting with reports and briefings on special projects.

You will prepare requests for personnel actions, perform vehicle management (maintenance, service, repairs, equipment, documentation), and complete routine logistics functions such as supply management, inventory management, accountable property management, facility management, and transportation/fleet management.

Qualification

To qualify for the GS-09 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07, or a Master's degree or equivalent graduate education. For GS-11, you need one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09, or a Ph.D. Or equivalent doctoral degree. Specialized experience includes administrative support, human resources liaison, logistics, fleet management, property management, supply management, quality assurance, records management, and task force management.

Role Responsibilities

Gather data, establish electronic files and databases, compose correspondence, and assist with preparing reports and briefings on special projects.

  • Prepare requests for personnel actions.
  • Perform vehicle management, including ensuring timely maintenance, service, repairs, supplement equipment, and documentation.
  • Complete routine logistics functions: supply management, inventory management, accountable property management, facility management, and transportation/fleet management.
  • Provide advice and guidance to management concerning the administration and implementation of the law enforcement program.
  • Maintain and coordinate the administrative support program, initiating and ensuring effective communication, coordination, and follow-up with other divisions.
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in assisting with the preparation and processing of confidential employee matters.
