The Veterans Health Administration is hiring a Motor Vehicle Operator Supervisor at the Lexington VA Health Care System in Lexington, Kentucky. This WS-8 supervisory role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, procurement, and coordination of all GSA leased sedans, minivans, vans, trucks, and buses.
You’ll monitor vehicle rental, leasing, and maintenance charges, and arrange linen distribution and food delivery schedules across the medical center and area entities.
The role also involves supervising subordinates, providing on-the-job training, setting up standard working procedures, and making sure adherence to safety standards and driving regulations. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the maintenance, procurement, and coordination of all GSA leased sedans, minivans, vans, trucks, and buses.
- Monitor vehicle rental, leasing, and maintenance prices.
- Coordinate linen distribution activities through the Medical Center and food delivery schedules to nearby entities.
- Monitor proper operation of equipment applied for mechanical systems, road maintenance, turf care, and motor vehicle systems.
- Assign operate to subordinates through oral or written instructions, post analysis, and standard working procedures.
- Offer on-the-job training and participate in official training programs for employees.
- Instruct employees on repair techniques and safety precautions.
- Establish usual operational procedures and assess role function orders for accuracy and manpower use.
- Confirm employees adhere to correct safety standards and normal operational procedures.
- Reconcile monthly vehicle credit card receipts with bank statements.
