Is hiring a NURSE (GS-0610-13) to center on clinical caliber improvement programs and initiatives that boost care through managed care and other models. This role is situated in Woodlawn, MD, at 7500 Security Blvd.
As a NURSE in the iQuality Improvement and Innovation Set, you’ll consult with health specialists and assess medical and scientific literature to enhance clinical practice and measures.
You’ll develop healthcare quality improvement policies and procedures for evaluating CMS programs, and put in place nursing care standards and clinical guidelines to refine patient outcomes and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for an experienced registered nurse who wants to influence grade of care at a national level.
You’ll lead cross-functional teams in developing clinical quality measurement instruments applied to evaluate patient safety effectiveness. Telework is eligible as determined by agency policy, but this isn’t a remote position; steady reporting to the CMS office is required.

Salary & Compensation
Salary: $121,785 - $158,322 per year.

- At least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized know-how equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal public sector, obtained in either the confidential or public sector, to contain: Leads or runs standard reviews to evaluate the performance, compliance and effectiveness of health care programs.
- A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor's degree, associate degree, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program. Accreditation must be from the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- For foreign nursing degrees: Formal certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools is required.
- Must have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX).
- Must have a current, active, packed, and unrestricted license or registration as a expert nurse (RN) from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Proof of license/registration must be submitted at time of submission; failure to do so will effect in an ineligible rating.

Duties & Responsibilities
