Salary / Pay Package: $95,284 - $160,200 per year.
Qualification
Basic Requirements: English Language Proficiency per 38 U.S.C. 7403(f). Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by ACEN or CCNE. Current, full, active, unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a US state, territory, or DC. Grade determinations based on education and experience: Nurse I Level I (ADN/Diploma).. Level II (ADN/Diploma + 1 year or BSN).. Level III (ADN/Diploma + 2 years or BSN + 1 year or MSN).. Nurse II (MSN + 1 year or BSN + 2 years).

- Graduate of a nursing program accredited by ACEN or CCNE.
- Current, full, active, unrestricted RN license in any US state, territory, or DC.
- Graduate Nurse Technician (GNT) exception: may be appointed on a 120-day temporary appointment while pursuing licensure.
- Foreign nursing education: must have current unrestricted registration and degree equivalency validation from ICD for higher than associate degree.
- Grandfathering provision: current VHA employees in 0610 series as of 1/29/2024 meet qualification requirements.
- Grade determination based on education and experience: Nurse I Level I (ADN/Diploma), Level II (ADN/Diploma + 1 year or BSN), Level III (ADN/Diploma + 2 years or BSN + 1 year or MSN), Nurse II (MSN + 1 year or BSN + 2 years).
- U.S. Citizenship required; non-citizens may be appointed only if unable to recruit qualified citizens.
- Selective Service Registration required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must pass pre-employment physical examination and urinalysis drug screening.
