Qualification

This lateral position requires candidates who are currently employed as a sworn police officer with a California POST Basic Certificate or equivalent. Applicants must have completed the probationary period with their current agency and be in good standing.

Role Responsibilities

  • Conduct criminal investigations, collect evidence, and interview witnesses.
  • Make arrests, serve warrants, and transport detainees.
  • Provide emergency medical assistance and coordinate with other agencies.
  • Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Participate in community policing and public outreach.
  • Serve in specialized units as assigned (e.g., K9, S.W.A.T., Traffic.
