Qualification
This lateral position requires candidates who are currently employed as a sworn police officer with a California POST Basic Certificate or equivalent. Applicants must have completed the probationary period with their current agency and be in good standing.

Role Responsibilities
Patrol assigned areas to deter crime and respond to emergencies.
- Enforce traffic laws, issue citations, and investigate accidents.
- Conduct criminal investigations, collect evidence, and interview witnesses.
- Make arrests, serve warrants, and transport detainees.
- Provide emergency medical assistance and coordinate with other agencies.
- Prepare detailed reports and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in community policing and public outreach.
- Serve in specialized units as assigned (e.g., K9, S.W.A.T., Traffic.
