SOCIAL WORKER (FAP)/CLINICAL COUNSELOR (FAP)/PSYCHOLOGIST (FAP) is listed by NAS OCEANA in Virginia Beach. NAS OCEANA in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is hiring a GS-12 Social Worker (FAP), Clinical Counselor (FAP), or Psychologist (FAP) to offer frank clinical offerings for the Family Advocacy Program.

Perform in this role includes carrying out clinical case assessments, providing treatment for individuals and families affected by maltreatment, and serving as a community liaison. You’ll also oversee expert employees, arrange care, and guarantee compliance with FAP regulations.

Salary & Compensation

Salary: $90,838 - $118,092 per year.

Qualification

This interdisciplinary role can be filled as a Clinical Counselor (0101), Psychologist (0180), or Social Worker (0185). You must encounter OPM core education needs and have at least one year of specialized expertise equivalent to GS-11, covering supervision, FAP expertise, and clinical judgment.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Gather basic education requirements for the suitable series (0101, 0180, or 0185) as per OPM standards.
• At least one year of specialized know-how equivalent to GS-11, such as: directing and coordinating skilled employees. Providing supervision for evaluation, hazard assessment, and treatment; keeping up expert command of FAP statutory requirements; and demonstrating pro clinical judgment in family violence dynamics.
• Possess a master's or doctoral degree from an accredited plan (CACREP, COAMFTE, CSWE, or APA) as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8.
• Grip a state or U.S. Territory license or certification to practice independently as a Licensed Expert Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Social Worker, Clinical Psychologist, or Counseling Psychologist.
• Have two years of full-time, post-master's supervised clinical background.
• Must pass a written examination if needed by the licensing authority.
• Volunteer operate may be credited toward expertise conditions.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide straight clinical solutions for the Family Advocacy Scheme (FAP), covering safety and lethality assessments.
• Run clinical treatment and intervention for people, couples, children, families, and groups affected by family maltreatment.
• Assist as a community liaison to organize responses to child abuse/neglect and domestic abuse, such as high-risk situations.
• Carry out clinical meetings to assess behavior patterns, mechanisms, and symptoms.
• Supply strategic clinical consultation to installation leadership, medical professionals, and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Manage complete clinical demands assessments and build specialized treatment plans for victims and offenders.
• Frank and arrange the work of skilled employees, covering assigning function set on priorities and capabilities.
• Maintain expert-level expertise of FAP statutory conditions, policy directives, and compliance regulations.
