Special Agent - Current Federal 1811s Only is listed by Federal Bureau of Investigation. The FBI is seeking experienced federal criminal investigators for the Unique Agent post, specifically for existing 1811s (and DSS 2501s).
This role recognizes your current expertise and provides an accelerated Refined Special Agent Training (ASAT) plan—9 weeks instead of the usual 18—as keeping up the rigorous standards expected of FBI agents.
As a Distinct Agent, you’ll strategy and carry out investigations into potential violations of federal laws, using your judgment and resourcefulness to gather investigative demands. You’ll create and keep up liaison relationships with federal, state, area, tribal, territorial, and international law enforcement agencies.
Operate in this role contains coordinating searches, seizures, and arrests. Carrying a firearm and being willing to use force, such as deadly force if essential; and maintaining physical fitness for law enforcement tasks. You may also be selected for the DC Secure and Beautiful Duty Force.
This role is exempt from the federal civilian hiring freeze. The pay variety of $99,461 to $164,785 per year involves base settle, locality cover for the Washington, D.C. Sphere, and availability settle (25% of base plus locality). Upon graduation, pay adjusts to your office assignment's locality.

Qualification
This role is unseal only to present federal law enforcement officers in the 1811 series (DSS 2501s also considered) with at least two years of continuous full-time expertise. You must also encounter the following conditions.
- Be a U.S. Citizen.
- Have a bachelor's degree or higher from a U.S.-accredited college or university.
- Be a existing Federal Law Enforcement Officer (occupational series 1811; DSS 2501s will also be considered).
- Possess 2 years of continuous full-time federal law enforcement (1811 or DSS 2501) function background.
- Be eligible for a Top-Secret SCI Clearance.
- Be able to legally possess and bear a firearm.
- Be at least 23 years aged and not have reached your 37th birthday on appointment (exceptions may apply).
- Gather the FBI's Employment Eligibility needs.
- Encounter the medical and physical conditions of the role.
- Possess a sound driver's license with at least six months driving know-how.
Role Responsibilities
- Scheme and conduct investigations of potential violations of federal laws.
