Qualification
To qualify for the Specialty Care RN - Dialysis post, you must have a valid California Registered Nurse license and encounter the specific background and education needs outlined by San Bernardino County.
- Possession of a valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- One year of full-time professional nursing experience in a dialysis unit or renal care setting.
- Current Core Life Assist (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Sophisticated Cardiac Life Aid (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program preferred.
- Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) or equivalent preferred.
- Must be fit to pass a background verify and drug screening.
- Must be legally authorized to function in the United States.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assess, strategy, implement, and evaluate nursing care for dialysis patients under standards of practice and ARMC policies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including anticoagulation and erythropoietin.
- Monitor patients during dialysis for adverse reactions and adjust treatment as needed.
- Run and uphold dialysis equipment, making sure right function and safety.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
- Educate patients and families on renal disease, dialysis procedures, diet, and medication management.
- Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare group participants.
- Participate in grade improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
- Provide emergency care as needed, covering response to code situations.
- Keep up a wipe down, secure, and organized work environment.
