To qualify for the Specialty Care RN

• Dialysis position, candidates must possess a valid California Registered Nurse license and meet the specific experience and education requirements outlined by San Bernardino County.
• Possession of a valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• One year of full-time professional nursing experience in a dialysis unit or renal care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program preferred.
• Certification in Nephrology Nursing (CNN) or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for dialysis patients in accordance with standards of practice and ARMC policies.

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including anticoagulation and erythropoietin.
• Monitor patients during dialysis for adverse reactions and adjust treatment as needed.
• Operate and maintain dialysis equipment, ensuring proper function and safety.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record.
• Educate patients and families on renal disease, dialysis procedures, diet, and medication management.
• Collaborate with nephrologists, dietitians, social workers, and other healthcare team members.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
• Provide emergency care as needed, including response to code situations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Must be a U.S. citizen or have legal authorization to work in the United States.
