To qualify for this GS-13 Supervisory Social Worker position, you must meet basic requirements including U.S. Citizenship, English proficiency, a master's degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited school, and state licensure at the advanced practice level. Additionally, you need one year of experience equivalent to GS-12 and demonstrated KSAs.

Serve as Supervisory Social Worker and Vet Center Director (VCD) for the designated Vet Center Service Area (VSA).

• Provide professional and administrative supervision and oversight of readjustment counseling, outreach, referrals, and follow-up care coordination.
• Supervise a multidisciplinary team of social workers and other mental health professionals at various performance levels.
• Oversee staff working in multiple locations: Vet Centers, Vet Center Outstations, and Community Access Points.
• Plan and conduct outreach in communities, often in conjunction with a Mobile Vet Center.
• Manage administrative and outreach staff service functions to ensure needs of individuals in the VSA are met.
• Oversee fiscal, contractual, and operational obligations of the community-based Vet Center.
• Ensure compliance with VHA policies and procedures.
