Job Description

The Army National Guard, through MS JFH G4 in Jackson, Mississippi, is hiring a Supply Management Specialist (GS-2003-11) to plan, organize, straight, organize, and run all command supply and offerings functions.

This role is situated in the Distribution Management Division, Supply and Services Branch, and centers on equipment readiness, accountability, and policy rollout. Qualification

This GS-11 Supply Management Specialist post demands existing membership in the Mississippi Army National Guard and a compatible military assignment (O1-O3).   • GENERAL Background: Expertise, education, or training providing general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field, plus know-how using computer and automation systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and oversee supply and services functions, covering command equipment/property readiness and accountability management.
  • Formulate and implement command supply running procedures and policies to assist units.
  • Make sure unit responsibilities for receipting and accounting of equipment and supplies are met.
  • Build and run the state logistics contingency stockage scheme and coordinate with the USPFO.
  • Put in place the Chief of Workforce of the Army Supply Excellence Award Plan.
  • Administer the command equipment loan scheme and serve as the focal point for approval of equipment loans within the state ARNG.
  • Frank the loan of equipment between units within the command.
  • In coordination with the USPFO, request and straight loans of equipment to and from entities outside the command/state, preparing inter-service back agreements.
