Job Description
The Supply Management Specialist position is located in the Army National Guard Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics/G4 (DCSLOG/G4), Distribution Management Division, Supply and Services Branch in Augusta, Maine.
In this role, you will plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions, including equipment readiness and accountability.
You will formulate supply operating procedures, develop the state logistics contingency stockage plan, administer the command equipment loan program, and serve as the focal point for approving loans of command equipment within the state ARNG.
Qualification
To qualify for this GS-11 Supply Management Specialist position, you must be a current member of the Maine Army National Guard holding the military grade of Officer (O3 & Below) or Warrant Officer (CW4 & Below). You need general knowledge of supply functions and experience using computer and automation systems.
- Military Grades: Officer (O3 & Below) and Warrant Officer (CW4 & Below).
- General Experience: Experience, education, or training providing general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field, plus experience using computer and automation systems.
- Specialized Experience: At least 36 months of experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions.
- Knowledge of the entire inventory management supply system.
- Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues.
- Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
- Experience managing the function of the work to be performed.
- Experience leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Role Responsibilities
Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage all command supply and services functions.
- Manage command equipment/property readiness and accountability.
- Formulate and implement command supply operating procedures and policies to support units.
- Ensure unit responsibilities for receipting and accounting of equipment and supplies are met.
- Develop and manage the state logistics contingency stockage plan and coordinate with the USPFO.
- Implement the Chief of Staff of the Army Supply Excellence Award Program.
- Administer the command equipment loan program and serve as the focal point for approval of loans within the state ARNG.
- Direct loans of equipment between units within the command.
- Coordinate with the USPFO to request/direct loans of equipment to and from entities outside the command/state, preparing inter-service support agreements and memorandums of agreement.
Conditions & Requirements
National Guard membership is required. If not currently a member, you must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the military grade listed.
