Job Description

The U.S. Army Cadet Command is hiring a Supply Technician (MVO) to give workforce assistance in supply and logistics management for the Experienced Reserve Officers' Training Corps (SROTC) Scheme and affiliated units.

In this role, you’ll forecast, request, and run Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) and Military Personnel, Army (MPA) budgets. You’ll also account for property, oversee various classes of supplies, and employ automated systems to arrange supply transaction documents and management reports.

Qualification

To qualify for this GS-7 Supply Technician post, you must gather one of the listed employment authority categories and have at least one year of specialized know-how equivalent to the GS-06 level.

Experience must contain keeping up record management files, inspecting supplies for discrepancies, working automated expression processing equipment, and keeping up property books.

• Specialized Expertise: One year of background at the GS-06 level that involves securing record management files are properly maintained, following procedures to inspect supply or equipment for discrepancies, running automated term processing equipment with hardware and software to get ready correspondence, forms, and reports, and keeping up property book under suitable regulations.
• Time in Grade: Applicants who have held a GS position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal solution at the next lower grade (GS-06).
• Education: No substitution of education for experience is permitted for this role.
• Your resume must be two pages or less and clearly detail your related know-how.
• Volunteer work (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) is credited as qualifying expertise.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Offer staff assistance in all areas of supply and logistics management for the SROTC Plan and affiliates within the Task Force setup.
• Forecast, request, and handle Operations and Maintenance, Army (OMA) and Military Personnel, Army (MPA) budgets for the host scheme and affiliates.
• Account for property and run various classes of supplies at the host and affiliated programs.
• Apply automated computer/software submissions to arrange documents involving supply transactions, management reports, and logistics.
• Supply logistics support for programs within the job force as directed.
• May require to cater to as Unit Prevention Leader (UPL) and finish training certification.

Conditions & Requirements

• Appointment subject to a suitability or fitness determination set on a completed background investigation.
• Temporary Responsibility (TDY) travel 30% of the time, covering 6-12 weeks each summer in aid of USACC Cadet Summer Training at Fort Knox.
• Pre-employment physical and drug test required.
• Sound state driver's license called for.
• Lautenberg Amendment compliance required.
• May need to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazardous Material Endorsement (HAZMAT).
• Moderate lifting of 50 pounds or more needed.
• Must wrap up Supply Tech Course within 1 year of employment and refresher as required.
• Must finalize LOG course within 1 year from Entrance on Duty (EOD) and refresher every 3 years.
• One-year probationary period may be required.
