The IL DCSIM in Springfield, Illinois, is hiring a Support Services Specialist (Title 32, GS-0342-9) to manage, plan, and coordinate a variety of administrative support services for installation and state operations.
This includes communication, correspondence, records management, mail and task management, procurement, budget, protocol, reports, personnel, and special programs. The role acts as a Records Manager for the agency's automated archive records management system, ensuring creation and preservation of official mission records.

Qualification
This Title 32 Excepted Service position requires membership in the Illinois National Guard. The areas of consideration follow a specific sequence: first, current ILNG technicians; then federal employees; re-employment eligible; those willing to become T32 Dual Status Technicians; and finally all U.S. Citizens. - at least 1 year of specialized experience, education, or training equivalent to GS-7; experience dealing with management principles and supervisory responsibility for support service functions.

Role Responsibilities
Manage, plan, and coordinate administrative support services for installation and/or state operations.
- Support official records and information management programs and initiatives.
- Control, organize, guide, and train the force to achieve activity information resource goals.
- Implement records management objectives, policies, and requirements.
- Coordinate with subject matter experts and records coordinators to integrate records management.
- Act as Records Manager for the agency's automated archive records management system.
- Review and approve agency file plans for installation and/or state, ensuring compliance.
- Oversee procurement, budget, protocol, reports, personnel, and special programs.
Conditions & Requirements
Must be a member of the Illinois National Guard or willing to become a dual-status technician.
