Qualification

Candidates should be pursuing or have recently completed a degree in environmental science, sustainability, urban planning, or a related field. Strong communication and project management skills are essential.

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a bachelor's or master's program in environmental science, sustainability, urban planning, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainability and local government.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with data collection and analysis preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the city.
Role Responsibilities

Assist in the development and implementation of sustainability initiatives and programs.

  • Conduct research and data analysis on energy, waste, water, and transportation.
  • Support community engagement efforts, including events and outreach materials.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for city staff and the public.
  • Coordinate with city departments and external partners on sustainability projects.
  • Track and report on sustainability metrics and progress toward goals.
  • Attend meetings and provide administrative support as needed.
