Role Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair traffic signals and electrical systems in District 7.
- Assist signal technicians with replacement of obsolete or damaged controllers and cabinets.
- Repair detector loops and perform preventive maintenance checks on traffic signal equipment.
- Conduct intersection inspections to ensure proper functioning.
- Repair traffic detectors as needed.
- Maintain and repair electrical problems in buildings on SCDOT grounds.
- Inspect work performed by contractors to ensure all specifications are met.
- Operate large bucket truck and pull pole trailer.
- Interpret blueprints for installation and repair of traffic signalized intersections.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
