Qualification

You must meet the qualifications for a Transit Engineer II (Electrical) as defined by King County. This generally contains a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field and relevant expert expertise.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare engineering designs, specifications, and design reports for transit capital projects.
  • Assist project managers in setting up project budgets and schedules.
  • Perform quality control reviews of consultant-prepared designs.
  • Back the development of zero-emission infrastructure, covering bus base electrification.
  • Organize with internal teams and external stakeholders on task needs.
  • Examine and approve electrical system designs for compliance with codes and standards.
  • Participate in venture meetings and supply technical guidance.
  • Carry out field inspections and site assessments as needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering procedures and standards.
