Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform elementary sampling and field testing of construction materials using normal methods.
- Assist with surveying, covering Survey Helper tasks, reducing and checking field notes of simple surveys.
- Work out, plot, and check core cross sections for highway and bridge projects.
- Draft basic designs and tracings, such as usual title and location sheets, schemes, profiles, and survey notes.
- Get ready normal recap sheets and estimated quantities for construction projects.
- Draft property line plots and plain finished surveys.
- Produce easy maps, charts, graphics, and diagrams as needed.
- Participate in the Technician Development training scheme to learn highway and bridge construction principles.
- Support with construction inspection, utility placement, and traffic operations assignments.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
Conditions & Requirements
- Must be able to operate full-time (40 hours per week) in Charleston, WV.

- Capacity to work outdoors in various weather conditions and on construction sites.
