Qualification
This role requires advanced-level administrative and supervisory experience in directing the maintenance and repair of a heavy equipment fleet. This role is classified as exempt and at-will, and you must show the capacity to manage budgets, oversee pieces inventory, and manage subordinate managers and mechanics.
- Advanced-level administrative and supervisory perform background directing maintenance, repair, procurement, and deployment of highway construction and maintenance equipment.
- Know-how managing large operational budgets for fleet operations.
- Knowledge of safety compliance policies and procedures related to weighty equipment.
- Aptitude to supervise portions inventory and logistics for a district-wide repair shop.
- Experience supervising subordinate managers, mechanics, and logistics personnel.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment such as dump trucks, snowplows, excavators, graders, and specialty highway machinery.
- Capacity to prioritize master repair schedules and approve maintenance/overhaul schedules.
- Expertise developing equipment specifications and recommending procurement decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct day-to-day operations of a District-wide equipment repair shop.
- Prioritize master repair schedules for a hefty equipment fleet such as dump trucks, snowplows, excavators, graders, and specialty highway machinery.
- Give recommendations for development of equipment specifications and approve equipment maintenance/overhaul schedules.
- Oversee Transportation Equipment Managers, Mechanics, and logistics personnel.
- Oversee sizable operational budgets to confirm cost-effective fleet operations.
- Guarantee strict compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Manage sections inventory and procurement for the repair shop.
- Perform related work as needed.
