Job Description
Transportation Security Officers (TSOs) with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) shield air travelers, airports, and aircraft at Billings Logan International Airport. You’ll work screening equipment to detect dangerous objects in baggage, cargo, and on passengers.
Function in this role contains physical searches, pat-downs, bag searches, lifting bags up to 50 pounds, controlling terminal entry and exit points, and interacting with the public. This role demands concentrate in a stressful, noisy environment and needs operating various shifts, such as overtime.

Salary & Compensation

Qualification
To qualify for the SV-D cover band (equivalent to GS-5/6).. You must gather one of the following: A) At least one year of full-time operate expertise in security.. Aviation screening.. Or as an X-ray technician; OR B) A high school diploma.. GED.. HiSET.. Or TASC certificate.
Volunteer experience through National Solution programs is also qualifying.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Run screening equipment and technology to spot dangerous objects in baggage, cargo, and on passengers.
- Prevent prohibited items from being transported onto aircraft.
- Perform physical searches such as pat-downs and property searches.
- Carry out bag searches and lift/carry bags, bins, and property weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Control terminal entry and exit points.
