Truck Driver - Nuiqsut

Applicants must meet federal testing requirements and possess a valid commercial driver's license. Experience in waste collection or truck operation is preferred. The role requires physical stamina for lifting and carrying waste.

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required.
• Must comply with federal drug and alcohol testing regulations, including pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, return-to-duty, and follow-up testing.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy loads of liquid waste and trash.
• Experience operating pump trucks or similar heavy vehicles preferred.
• Knowledge of truck maintenance and inspection procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate logs and reports.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to work in extreme weather conditions.

Pump sewage from septic tanks into pump truck.

• Lift and carry liquid waste and trash from homes to collection trucks.
• Collect trash from public sites and deliver water as directed.
• Maintain truck log, inspection forms, maintenance records, and daily trip reports.
• Supervise loading and unloading of truck; load or unload as needed.
• Perform duties of a Waste Collector when required.
• Inspect and clean equipment and facility; report maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Assist with inspection, cleaning, maintenance, and repair of vehicles.

Must pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Must be able to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays if needed.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Competitive hourly wage of $40.23.
