Job Description
The City of Sacramento Department of Youth, Parks, & Community Enrichment seeks Youth Aides for the Landscape & Learning program. This workforce development program prepares youth ages 14-17 living within Sacramento city limits for future employment.
Youth Aides work outdoors in city parks with adult-supervised crews performing general park maintenance. Duties include weeding, trimming, leaf removal, low limbing, and trash pick-up. On-the-job technical training develops essential employment and leadership skills.
The fall session runs September 19 to November 22, 2026, Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00am to 2:30pm (includes 1/2 hour unpaid lunch).
Qualification
Applicants must be youth ages 14-17 and reside within the City of Sacramento limits. No prior experience is required; training is provided.

Role Responsibilities
Perform general park maintenance including weeding, trimming, and leaf removal.
- Conduct low limbing of trees and shrubs.
