The Defense Health Agency is hiring a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (MRI) to join Guthrie Army Health Clinic at Fort Drum, New York.

Qualification
This position is open to US citizens. You must meet the basic requirement for Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (MRI) under Public Law 97-35, including certification as a radiographer. Additionally, you need one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 level or equivalent, or 1.5 years of graduate education in a directly related field.
Role Responsibilities
Conduct complex 3D and 2D MRI scans of the head, spine, extremities, and body.nInstruct patients on procedure methods, safety precautions, and MRI risks.nStart intravenous lines for patients requiring contrast or specific tests.nPerform preventive maintenance and monitor equipment for malfunctions.nOperate film processing and duplication machines.nIdentify and correct artifacts to ensure high-quality s.nCollaborate with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols for standard and complex cases.nProvide s and findings to radiologists and referring physicians.nTrain other staff in MRI procedures.
