Qualification

To qualify for the NA-4 grade, applicants must demonstrate knowledge of basic food preparation, safety, cash collection, sanitation, and customer service. The ability to follow recipes, measure ingredients, and operate a cash register is essential.

Role Responsibilities

Prepare and assemble food products according to computerized or basic recipes for quick-service and other food services.

  • Prepare hot items, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, salads, side dishes, and beverages.
  • Requisition needed food and non-food items from Subsistence/Supply Section.
  • Prepare foods based on forecasted demand or established standards.
  • Package food in individual containers and store properly.
  • Comply with HACCP procedures including documentation of food temperatures.
  • Operate cash registers, change printer paper, and count/verify cash.
  • Demonstrate professionalism through customer service and teamwork.
  • Account for leftovers and complete cook worksheets.
  • Stock, organize, set up, clean, and maintain work area before, during, and after hours.
Conditions & Requirements

Must meet federal suitability requirements including background investigation.

  • Must pass E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Personal protection equipment must be worn when exposed to hazardous conditions.
  • REAL ID-compliant driver's license or acceptable ID required for base access after May 7, 2025.
  • Physical requirements: standing, reaching, lifting, walking; ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
