Job Description

The WET Science Center, operated by LOTT Clean Water Alliance in Olympia, WA, is recruiting volunteers to interact with the public in a free, educational setting focused on water resources.

Role Responsibilities

Interact with visitors of all ages in the WET Science Center and activity room, especially children.nAssist with family-friendly crafts and hands-on science activities.nAssist with school programs about wastewater and green design.nStaff special events in the community.nAssemble giveaways and tidy/clean the science center and activity room.nPerform other support duties as needed.

Additional Information

Work schedule: Saturdays, 2-4 hour shifts between 10 am and 4 pm.nVolunteers report to Environmental Education staff.nOrientation includes tips for interacting with the public, safety and behavior guidelines, and a wastewater plant tour.nBackground check is required and will be arranged by the organization.nThis is an unpaid volunteer position.nThe WET Science Center is located in Olympia, WA.
