Put in insight and competence to support with planning and carrying out a finalize food solution scheme following USDA CACFP policies and procedures.

• Handle various food preparation and cooking assignments: cleaning, paring, peeling, slicing, dicing; grilling, frying, baking, broiling, pouring liquids, and mixing ingredients.
• Get ready and cook various more complicated/time-consuming foods such as meats, poultry, seafood, vegetables, stews, casseroles, gravies, sauces, and baked goods following normal recipes.
• Function with Food and Nutrition Specialists to prepare menus and hand in food orders and purchase requests.
• Help with on-the-job training of other kitchen workforce members.
• Serve as consultant to youth cooking clubs and health and fitness programs as needed.
• Track hazard management procedures.

• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) inspect.
• Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours first food sanitation and safety training within 30 days of employment, and 4 hours refresher training annually.

• Operate involves continual standing and walking, frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending.
• Perform is performed in kitchen fields that are well lighted but frequently hot and noisy; exposed to steam, fumes, odors from cooking, and extreme temperature alters.
