Qualification
To qualify for the Cook (CYS) NA-08 post, your resume must be two pages or less and evidently demonstrate relevant experience. Role Responsibilities
Apply expertise and competence to support with planning and carrying out a finish food offering plan following USDA CACFP policies.
- Examine recipes, menus, and worksheets to determine ingredients needed for steady or modified diets for children with distinct requires.
- Accomplish meal preparation responsibilities using utensils and equipment such as knives, mixers, steam kettles, ovens, grills, and other gas, electric, or steam-powered items.
- Prepare and cook all kinds of meats, poultry, seafood, fresh and cooked salads and vegetables, grains, pasta, fruits, sauces, gravies, breads, and desserts.
- Apply unique and/or involved recipes and various cooking approaches such as roasting, broiling, baking, frying, boiling, steaming, or sautéing.
- Build and revise standardized recipes as needed.
- Arrange cooking in big quantities using complex recipes and varied cooking ways.
- Prepare foods for distinct/modified diets including diabetic exchanges, modest sodium, and food allergies.
- Instruct lower-level cooks in food preparation techniques.
- Uphold cleaning and sanitation practices for commercial food solution utilities and equipment.
